Dear Sir
Enclosed is old faithful.
I wish to complain as I have only had 16 years of service from this watch, following my trade as a boilermaker.
In this time it has had four batteries, two crystal faces and two watchbands. In my sixteen years as a Boilermaker and now a teacher of boilermakers, this watch has survived:
- Hammer impacts
- Arc strikes
- Magnetic fields from the welders
- High Thermal Heat exposure
All of which have not managed to stop it.
I bought the watch on recommendation of my late father whom you may remember from the trade. My old watch wasn't able to take hammer blows as well as the Adina could.
OK! Time to take my tongue out of my cheek. A local watchmaker advises that the movement is outdated technology. Outdated or not I want to stick with an Adina product.
I have not managed to locate a current model Adina which has the protected crown.
Is there a model with comparable construction and crown protection that I may purchase or is it possible to give old faithful; a heart transplant. Even if a similar watch is not available, I would still pay the cost of a new watch to get old faithful going again.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Yours Sincerely
Graham |
